Lydeard Farm Bush Camp & Lodges is situated in Broomfield. The highest village on the Quantock Hills and lies on the Quantock Greenway footpath in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We are approximately 3 miles south of Bridgwater and 5 miles north of Taunton. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is home to a number of historic buildings in a beautiful quiet area in the Quantock Hills, Somerset. The nearest pub is a 10 minute drive in Enmore or Kingston St Mary. The nearest supermarkets are located in Bridgwater or Taunton, 15 minute drive.

Fyne Court
National Trust Fyne Court is a hidden gem in the heart of the Quantock Hills. You can explore this wild garden and discover pieces of its history hiding in the undergrowth. Short walk or drive from Lydeard Farm.
Taunton
Taunton is the market town of Somerset. Home of the County Cricket Club, Somerset museum, high street shopping and dining. Hollywood bowl, cinema complex, swimming pool. Travel time 15 minutes.
Dunster
Dunster is a Medieval village & castle within Exmoor National Park. Travel time 35 minutes.
Kilve Beach
The beach of Kilve lies about halfway between Minehead and Bridgwater in the heart of the Quantocks. The shoreline is mostly rocky with plenty of rockpools to explore towards low tide. One of the best features of Kilve beach is the large grassy area behind the beach which is ideal for picnics.
Minehead
Minehead is a family seaside resort with Sandy beach. Travel time 40 minutes.
Enmore park golf club
Green fee players welcome at Enmore Golf Club. 10 minute drive.
Cheddar Gorge
At Cheddar you will find famous caves and cheese. Lots of cafes, walks and local independent shops. Travel time 45 minutes.
Wells
Wells is the smallest city in the UK. Home to a stunning cathedral and the Bishops Palace.

There are no pubs that you can walk to. There are pubs within a 5-10 minute drive. The Tynte Arms in Enmore. Or the Swan in Kingston St Mary. Please also ask us for our own personal recommendations.

Supermarkets
In Bridgwater and Taunton - 15 -20 minute drive you will find all the big brand supermarkets. They will also deliver to the entrance of the farm and then you take down the delivery to bush camp.
