Schools

We welcome school day bookings or residential stays for 1 night or longer.

Our school residentials, create the kind of action-based, contextual learning experiences needed to build confidence, establish a growth mindset and develop ‘life skills’ for a brighter future. Afterall, it is in the world beyond the classroom where young people will end up applying all their learning!

From the moment you arrive you are absorbed, active and having fun.

We can accommodate group numbers up to 56 guests across 5 lodges. The lodges where required can be designated boys and girls, with a maximum of 6 sleeping in each room.

Each lodge has two showers and two toilets with doors and individual locks. Bed sheets are provided. Children/ adults are required to bring their own sleeping bag, pillow, towel, shower gel. Heating is provided for cooler nights

Activities will be led by our preferred activity instructor Steve Bedford who himself and his team hold all the appropriate qualifications and insurance to deliver the activities. Steve has  many years experience running activities at Lydeard Farm. You can view more information here regarding Steve www.basicbushcraft.co.uk/about-us.html

A bespoke activity schedule will be planned based on the age of the children attending. Steve will also act as your course director and camp on site during your stay and ensure all the fires are lit as required and that your days and evenings run smoothly.

There is plenty of outdoor space and during downtime children can play games on our very own 'Wembley' football pitch, also a perfect spot for a game of rounders or other games.

Your  school group will have sole use of the bush camp throughout your stay and will be the only school staying with us.
